Reasons to See a Chiropractor

What Is Chiropractic?

Chiropractic is a therapy that has existed for over one hundred years and is based on the premise that misalignments within the spine can create a number of symptoms for people. Chiropractors correct these misalignments in order to ensure proper health and alleviate discomfort within the body.

Is Chiropractic Safe?

Chiropractic is a very safe form of health care with very minimal risk of adverse effects. It is normal to feel some muscle soreness following treatment, but the discomfort is temporary and often resolves within a few days.

What Can Chiropractic Help With?

Chiropractic is one of the safest and most effective treatments for all musculoskeletal conditions including back pain, neck pain, headaches, TMJ disorders, and extremity complaints.

What If I Am Afraid of “Cracking Bones”?

We offer a number of techniques, including lower force methods, at our clinic, so that we can treat all types of individuals. This means that you can get relief through chiropractic care that does not involve manipulative therapy. We will address any concerns that you may have and will recommend the therapy that will be best suited for your optimal healing.

Once I Start Treatment Will I Always Have to Come?

Upon your initial evaluation we will recommend a treatment program that will be specific for your condition. Our initial goal will be to help you with the symptoms that have caused you to seek out our care. After this phase of care, we may propose some ongoing care that may help you to prevent further injury, but the choice will be yours. Some of our patients are only interested in relief care while others prefer a method of preventative therapy, and we understand and respect that each individual needs to choose what is appropriate for their own body.

How Long Will My Appointments Be?

We take pride in the fact that we like to spend time with our patients. We want you to feel that you have time to ask questions without feeling that you are infringing upon our schedule. We encourage you to discuss any concerns that you may have regarding your health with us, even if it is regarding conditions that may be out of our scope of practice, as we may be able to suggest other practitioners or therapies that may be of help to you.
